Xylometazolin WZF 0.1% applied to the nasal mucosa reduces its swelling and congestion, reduces the amount of secretion and facilitates its drainage from the sinuses. Thanks to this, it reduces the feeling of stuffy nose and sinuses.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHow to use: apply the drug only to the nose (also in otitis media). For hygienic reasons, the medicine pack should only be used by one patient. The drug should not be used for more than 3 to 5 days. If you do not feel better or feel worse after 3 to 5 days, please contact your doctor. Do not use doses higher than those given below. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 to 3 drops in each nostril every 8 to 10 hours. Do not administer more than 3 doses in each nostril per day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eComposition: 1ml of solution contains: active substance: xylometazoline hydrochloride 1mg. Do not use: if the patient has had the pituitary gland removed or has undergone other surgery on the nervous system; if you have had cavities or changes in the lining of your nose.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWarnings and precautions: talk to your doctor or pharmacist or nurse before taking Xylometazoline WZF 0.1%. If symptoms such as insomnia, dizziness, tremors, irregular heartbeat, increased blood pressure occur during the use of the drug, the drug should be discontinued. This applies especially to patients who have previously developed such symptoms after taking other similarly acting drugs. Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine if you have: high blood pressure; angina pectoris (chest pain on exertion) or other cardiovascular disease; diabetes (increased blood sugar); angle-closure glaucoma (increased pressure in the eyes); prostate hyperplasia; hyperthyroidism. Xylometazolin WZF 0, 1% should not be used for more than 5 days, because taking the drug for a long time can cause difficult to heal changes in the nasal mucosa. Xylometazolin WZF 0.1% contains benzalkonium chloride, which acts as a preservative in the drug. Benzalkonium chloride may cause irritation of the nasal mucosa.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInteractions with other medicines: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Xylometazoline WZF 0.1% should not be used during treatment with antidepressants called tricyclic antidepressants and MAO inhibitors. You should avoid taking Xylometazolin WZF 0.1% at the same time with medicines such as ephedrine, pseudoephedrine (these are components of medicines used to treat colds).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePregnancy and breast-feeding: If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Xylometazolin WZF 0.1% should not be used during pregnancy. Breastfeeding patients should consult a doctor before using the drug.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDriving and using machines: If Xylometazoline WZF 0.1% is used according to the information in this leaflet, it does not usually affect the ability to drive and use machines.
