1. WHAT PERTUSIN IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
A traditional herbal medicine used for colds as an expectorant. Pertusin is a traditional herbal medicinal product used according to the indicated indications, exclusively based on long-term traditions of use.

2. BEFORE YOU USE PERTUSIN SYRUP
PERTUSINA syrup should not be used:
- if there is hypersensitivity to thyme or other plants of the notrel family (Lamiaceae, s. Labiatae).

Special precautions are required:
- the medicinal product is not recommended for use by children under 12 years of age due to the lack of research data;
- if shortness of breath, fever or purulent sputum occurs, it is necessary to consult a doctor or a qualified healthcare professional.

Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those bought without a prescription.
Interactions with other medicinal products have not been established.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
It is necessary to consult a doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine.
Safety studies for pregnant or lactating women have not been conducted. In the absence of data, the medicinal product is not recommended for use by pregnant and lactating women.

Driving and using machines
No studies have been conducted on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive and use machines.

Important information about some of the excipients of PERTUSIN syrup
This medicine contains at least 8% ethanol (alcohol) by volume, that is, up to 0.8 g per dose (10 ml), which corresponds to 16 ml of beer, 6.7 ml of wine. Harmful for alcoholics.

This must be taken into account in pregnant women, nursing mothers, children and high-risk patients (such as those with liver disease or epilepsy).
A dose (10 ml) contains 10.25 g of sugar (sucrose).

It is necessary to take this into account in patients with diabetes.
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some carbohydrates, tell your doctor before taking this medicine.

3. HOW TO USE PERTUSIN SYRUP
PERTUSINO syrup should be taken orally.
For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age
Take one dessert spoon (10 ml) of the cough medicine 3-5 times a day.
The medicinal product PERTUSIN is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
If the symptoms do not disappear within a week of using this medicinal product, it is necessary to consult a doctor or pharmacist. If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF PERTUSIN
Like all medicines, PERTUSIN can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (including one case of anaphylactic shock and one case of angioedema) and gastrointestinal disturbances have been observed. Frequency not known.

5. HOW TO STORE PERTUSIN SYRUP
Keep PERTUSINA syrup out of the reach and sight of children.
Store at a temperature not higher than 25ºC.
Store the bottle in a box to protect the preparation from light.
Keep the bottle tightly closed.
PERTUSINA syrup should not be used after the expiry date indicated on the bottle label and the box under "Expirable by". The drug is suitable for use until the last day of the indicated month.
Medicines must not be poured down the drain or disposed of with household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of unnecessary medicines. These measures will help protect the environment.
6. OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT PERTUSINA
Composition of syrup PERTUSIN
- The active substance of Pertusin is a liquid extract of thyme. 1 ml of solution contains 162.5 mg of Thymus vulgaris L. and/or Thymus zygis L., herba (thyme herb) liquid extract (1:1). Extractant: 30% (V/V) ethanol.
- Excipients of Pertusin: sugar syrup, ethanol.

Appearance and quantity of syrup PERTUSINA in the package
Dark brown syrup, aromatic smell, sweet taste.
A cardboard box contains one vial containing 100 ml of solution.
