Senefol 90 tablets
Senefol is a herbal medicinal product for the immediate treatment of constipation.

Composition:
Senna leaf and fruit, colloidal anhydrous silica, potato starch.

1 tablet contains: 300 mg of senna leaf and fruit, which corresponds to 7.5 mg of hydroxyanthracene derivatives, expressed as sennoside B.

Indications and operation
Senefol affects the peristalsis of the large intestine, inhibits the absorption of water, which softens the fecal masses and facilitates defecation.
Senefol is intended for use in the acute treatment of constipation and for the purpose of emptying the intestines before diagnostic tests and surgical procedures.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

Adolescents over 12 years of age, adults: 2-4 tablets before bedtime. Drink plenty of water.

Do not exceed the dose of 4 tablets a day.

Due to individual sensitivity, dosing should be started with the lowest dose (1 tablet), which should be increased if necessary to determine the effective dose.

The laxative effect occurs after 8 to 12 hours, in the absence of it, take the next dose of the preparation after 12 hours. Taking the drug up to 2-3 times a week is usually sufficient to obtain a therapeutic effect. The decision to use for a period longer than 1 - 2 weeks may be made by a doctor.

Contraindications
When not to use Senefol

in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the preparation,
with intestinal obstruction and stenosis,
with appendicitis,
with dehydration combined with loss of electrolytes,
in children under 12 years of age.
interactions
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to use. Senefol may interact with: cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmic drugs, diuretics.

Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Prolonged use of the drug may cause a dark coloration of the mucosa and colon, which usually disappears after the end of taking the preparation.

Warnings and precautions
The product is not intended for long-term use. Taking laxatives for a longer period than recommended may disturb the functioning of the intestines and cause addiction. Preparations containing hydroxyanthracene glycosides should only be recommended if normal bowel movements cannot be achieved by changing the diet. Store in a closed container at a temperature not higher than 25oC. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
